Smooth Assistant vs Smooth Agent
Same idea, two ways to run it. Use the hosted assistant on Telegram, or install the open-source agent on your own machine with your own keys.
Summary
Choose Smooth Assistant if you want it to just work: open Telegram, press Start, done. Choose Smooth Agent if you want full control: your server, your model keys, your data on your disk, and any chat app you like.

Pick Smooth Assistant when
- you are not a developer, or you do not want to run a server
- you want reminders, research, files and crypto help today
- you like paying with QRIS or crypto instead of managing API keys
Pick Smooth Agent when
- you want your data on your own machine
- you already pay for a model provider, or want a local model
- you need Slack, Matrix, LINE or WhatsApp for your own team or bot
- you want to read and change the code
Both can work together: point Smooth Agent at Smooth's API and you get Smooth models with your own setup.
