Chatting with Smooth

Text Smooth like a friend. It understands voice notes, photos and documents, shows its work while it runs, and asks before anything important.

Where to find it

Smooth lives in Telegram: @smoothofficial_bot. It works on any phone, tablet or computer that has Telegram. WhatsApp is coming soon, on the same account and memory.

Talk however you like

  • Text in English or Indonesian (or mix both). Smooth answers in your language; change it with /language.
  • Voice notes: Smooth transcribes them and answers like a typed message. Ask it to "answer by voice" and it replies with a voice note too.
  • Photos: a receipt, a chart, a screenshot, a product label. Smooth reads what is in the picture.
  • Files: PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV and more. Attach the file and write what you want in the caption.

You see the work

Every step shows up live while Smooth is busy: "Searching the web", "Reading reuters.com", "Working in your workspace", "Setting an alert". Long jobs keep going even if you close Telegram; the answer arrives in the chat when it is ready. If the AI is busy, you see your place in the queue ("⏳ queue #2") and Smooth retries by itself.

Send a new message while it works to steer it ("also check ETH"), or /stop to end the job.

Buttons instead of typing

When an answer ends with a few choices, they become buttons you can tap. Before anything that matters, such as a transfer, an email or a new website, you get Allow and Decline. Nothing happens until you tap.

Fresh start, same memory

/new starts a fresh conversation. Smooth still remembers the facts and preferences you told it (see Memory). /clearmemory erases memory and chat history for real.

Tips for better answers

  1. Say the result you want: "a table of the 5 cheapest flights", not just "flights".
  2. Give the when and how often: "every weekday at 8".
  3. Tell it once how you like things ("keep answers short", "prices in Rupiah") and it remembers.
  4. For big jobs, ask for a plan first: "plan it, then wait for my OK".
