Smooth's own computer
Every person gets a private Linux computer. Smooth installs what it needs there, runs code, keeps your files and can keep small programs running for you.
What it is
A private Linux workspace that belongs to you only. Smooth uses it to:
- run Python or Node code (data cleanup, charts, conversions)
- install tools it needs (
pip install, npm install, command-line tools) - read websites with a real browser when a page needs one
- create files you can download: spreadsheets, documents, images, ZIPs
- run always-on programs (bots, watchers, small servers) on paid plans
You can open it yourself from the dashboard: /web → Workspace has Files (upload, download, preview), a Terminal, and Services.
Size per plan
| Plan | vCPU | RAM | Storage | One command runs up to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 1 GB | 2 GB | 5 minutes, then stops |
| Pro | 2 | 2 GB | 4 GB | 15 minutes, jobs keep running |
| Scale | 4 | 4 GB | 6 GB | 15 minutes, jobs keep running |
| Max | 6 | 8 GB | 10 GB | 20 minutes, jobs keep running |
CPU and RAM are the upper limits your workspace can use. An idle workspace goes to sleep after a while and wakes up the moment Smooth needs it again; your files stay.
Always-on programs (services)
Ask "build me a Telegram bot that … and keep it running". Smooth writes it, tests it in the terminal and starts it as a service that restarts by itself if it crashes. You can see logs, restart or stop it under Workspace → Services.
| Plan | Always-on programs |
|---|---|
| Free | none (programs run while you chat) |
| Pro | 1 |
| Scale | 3 |
| Max | 5 |
